Lucknow is all set to host the IPL 2025 match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Gujarat Titans (GT). The match starts at 3.30 pm IST. This is the third game of the season at the Ekana Stadium.
So far, LSG has won one game and lost one at their home venue. Heading into this game, they are placed sixth on the points table. Rishabh Pant's form has been a major talking point in the LSG camp. So far, he has scored just 19 runs from five games, averaging 4.75.
GT, on the other hand, is topping the IPL 2025 points table at the moment. Since losing their season opener against Punjab Kings, the Titans have won their next four games. Against the Royals, they registered a thumping win by 58 runs. Their top-order has done the bulk of the scoring, with Mohammed Siraj leading the wicket-taking race for GT with 10 wickets from five games. Noor Ahmad, with 12 wickets, is topping the Purple Cap List.

So far, the pitch at the Ekana Stadium has hosted two games. LSG lost their first game against PBKS as they could not defend 171 runs. They won their next game against Mumbai Indians after posting 203 runs for 8 wickets batting first. This is a clear indication that batting first is the way to go at this venue. Moreover, the curator used a heavy roller to get the pitch even drier on the eve of the game. Hence, the wicket is expected to be lower and slower, with spinners having a bigger say in the game.
