The Asian Cricket Council (ACC), led by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Mohsin Naqvi, has apparently moved the Continental Cup to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), despite India being the current host. There is a huge question mark whether the tournament will go as per schedule after the cross-border tensions escalated between India & Pakistan after the latter's terror attacks in Pahalgam on April 22.

Since that incident, India replied with 'Operation Sindoor', by carrying out precision attacks in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Just when things were about to turn ugly, a ceasefire was announced on May 07. While some of the experts do to want India to face Pakistan ever after the cowardly terror attack, an official decision has not been taken regarding the Asia Cup 2025 event.

According to Forbes, the decision is set to be made at the ICC's Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Singapore next month. As things stand, the Continental Cup is set to be played in UAE if the tournament goes according to the original schedule.

“Such news is devoid of any truth as till now, BCCI has not even discussed or taken any such steps regarding the ensuing ACC events, let alone writing anything to the ACC (Asian Cricket Council). At this stage, our prime focus is on the ongoing IPL and subsequent England series, both men and women," Saikia said, as quoted by Sportstar.
