Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli has been struggling with health problems in recent times for almost a decade as per reports. The former Indian cricketer who played 104 ODIs & 17 Tests has once again been in the news for his health problems.
Kambli was hospitalised for the last few months following a blood clot in his brain. The news came after a viral video of his went viral when he was seen struggling to stand straight.
He also revealed that batting icon and Vinod Kambli’s close friend Sachin Tendulkar also came to visit him once he was back from the hospital. The friendship between Tendulkar and Kambli has been one for the ages. The two were the first prodigies in Indian cricket in the early 90s. Their famous partnership of 664 runs in school cricket has been part of India cricket’s folklore.

Sachin Dada Has Always Supported Vinod - Virendra Kambli
In an interview with Vickey Lalwani, Virendra Kambli spoke about how his family receives calls from Tendulkar to check on his close friend’s health.
“Sachin dada has always supported Vinod. Their friendship is still very strong. Sachin calls and checks on him with Andrea [Hewitt, Vinod’s wife]” said Virendra.
“He was closest to him. I don’t know about others, but I saw them together when I went to watch Ranji Trophy matches. I would go to the dressing room to eat, and Sachin dada, Vinod, and I would sit together and have fun. We would joke around and have a good time,” he further said on Tenduklar and Kambli’s friendship.

Virendra Kambli Gives Major Health Update On Vinod Kambli
Vinod Kambli was receiving treatment at a hospital in Bandra for his recent health condition. His brother, Virendra Kambli, said that he is back home after treatment and recovering well.
"He is at home right now. He is getting stable, but his treatment is on. He is having difficulty speaking. It will take him time to recover. But he is a champion, and he will come back. He will start walking and running, hopefully. I have a lot of faith in him. I hope you can see him back on the ground," said Virendra.
