Pakistan & Multan Sultans (MS) captain Mohammad Rizwan got his Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) campaign off to a rollicking start as the wicketkeeper-batter scored a blistering 105-run knock in 63 balls to help his team post a solid 234 runs for 3 wickets in 20 overs. However, heartbreak was in store for Rizwan as his side lost the game to Karachi Kings (KRK).
James Vince's scintillating 101 runs overshadowed Rizwan's efforts. The right-hand batter, who came into this PSL with huge pressure to revive his T20 game, scored his runs against The Kings at a strike rate over 150. During the epic knock, Rizwan also created history as he became the first batter to score multiple hundreds against the same franchise in PSL. The wicketkeeper-batter scored an unbeaten 110 runs against the same team in PSL 2023 as well.

Speaking about his latest hundred against the Kings, Rizwan might have loved the way he batted aggressively at the top; however, the defeat brought some sourness for Sultan's captain.

Mohammad Rizwan creates an embarrassing record in PSL
Rizwan also created an unwanted record during the loss as he became the first captain in PSL 2025 to lose three games while defending scores over 200. The King's chase of 235 runs was the highest-ever recorded chase by a side that had lost three wickets in the power play in T20 history. Vince's 42-ball hundred was the third-fastest in PSL history and second-fastest in a run chase. On account of this win, KRK is placed second on the PSL 2025 points table.
