LSG vs CSK Match Preview & Where to Watch Live? IPL 2025 Match 30

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are set to cross swords with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in match 30 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) season. LSG has had a terrific start to their 2025 campaign, as they have won four games of the six games that they have played. Despite boasting of an all-Indian bowling attack, LSG has shown a lot of fight and character in each of their games so far.

On the other hand, CSK is creating one embarrassing record after another this season. With five losses on the trot, CSK is languishing at the bottom of the points table. Their batting is becoming a mockery, with no intent being shown in chasing or defending totals.

After the IPL 2025 mega auction, most of the experts predicted that CSK's team is the strongest and that they can easily reach the playoffs stage. The opposite was said for LSG, with a lack of experienced players in bowling seen as a weak link. However, LSG has managed to emerge as the dark horse, with several of their players chipping in with useful contributions. The batting has been led by the dynamite Nicholas Pooran, who has scored 349 runs in six games.

Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram have also looked solid at the top, with 265 runs and 202 runs, respectively. The trio's terrific form has enabled LSG to post mammoth totals onboard. In the bowling, Digvesh Rathi has emerged as the star, with eight wickets to his name. Wily fox Shardul Thakur has also chipped in with 11 wickets. The only major concern for LSG is the form of skipper Rishabh Pant, who has failed to get going so far.

On the other hand, CSK's batting has become a butt of jokes on social media. Their last game against KKR saw them post just 103 runs. None of the batters could score at a strike rate over 140. None of Rachin Ravindra, Devon Conway, Rahul Tripathi, and Deepak Hooda have gotten going. Barring Shivam Dube and MS Dhoni to some extent, the rest of the CSK batters have lacked an intent to score brisk runs.

To make things worse, Ruturaj Gaikwad is also ruled out of IPL 2025 with an elbow injury. While Dhoni is known to bring his team from any hopeless position to the top with his canny leadership, it will require some effort from him if CSK manages to reach the playoff from the last position.
